April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4th, 1995. In seventh grade she began playing the guitar as well as taking piano lessons which ignited her interest in writing songs. April's first song was Different. She wrote it at 12 years of age. When April was 14 years old, she spent an enormous amount of time developing song ideas as well as perfecting the song. The songwriting began alongside her father and her dad in NY and LA shortly after. April was also able to add other themes in the song "Take My Hand" for some of the friends she had who struggled with concerns like peer pressure issues, or even teenage suicide. Lockhart is a lifestyle and beauty influencer with an ever-growing following. She collaborates with the renowned brand Ilia in partnership, as well as being a lifestyle expert. Her birthplace didn't come with a left hand, and that is why she's what she is. However, that's not the whole story. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook her disability. My everyday life isn't directly affected by disability. I go about my regular daily life, and come up with my own solutions to issues. The same is true for my personality, and it's something that needs to be addressed. Lockhart has served as an excellent source of inspiration for her female friends with regards to acceptance of oneself. Even so, Lockhart admits having moments when she felt uncomfortable with her appearance as well as wearing clothes with arms.
